In a sublime revelation today at Delhi, Toyota has taken off the sales of the most anticipated Etios Liva small car at a price starting from just 4 L. The Etios Liva is the hatchback version of the Etios Sedan that is already in India from last year. Toyota had curtailed the production of their car models due to devastating earth quake in Japan. Now it appears that they have recovered from all setbacks, and the Etios Liva will be available for delivery from today onwards.
The most active car segment the India is 2L-7L price range where Maruti Suzuki overshadows all other rivals with their Swift, Estilo, Ritz, and Swift, Alto models. Though a bit late Toyota has studied the prerequisites of Indian buyers before launching Etios Liva. The car variants are positioned in such a way that it caters for all budgets and requirements.

The car is powered by a four cylinder petrol engine that outputs 80PS of power @5600 RPM and a maximum torque 104@3100 RPM. It is a very decent performer for the current scenario in India. Liva is only available in 5 speed manual transmission and claims a mileage around 18 KMs in test conditions.
Toyota Etios comes in seven color options. It looks really sporty -starting from the typical Toyota grille at the front, there are a lot of striking design elements, curves and lines. Dual tone interior is spacious and is also equipped with load of goodies, which varies based on the variant opted. Meters and controls are placed above the music system towards the center. While AC is a standard in all models, power steering and central lock are missing from the standard option. The top model of Etios Liva is equipped with the steering wheel mounted audio controls, AC connected glove box, tubeless tyres, spoiler, alloy wheels, EBD, ABS, driver and passenger air bags, immobilizer, audio system with USB, Aux-IN and FM radio support. Overall, it’s a great value for money package.
Toyota holds the top position in the world for the total number of car sales. And this shows their quality, and trust of the people towards this brand. Etios Sedan is already a huge hit in India, and Toyota hopes to sell around 50000 Etios Liva in 2011-2012 financial year. The only issue that may hinder the growth is the limited number of service points and dealers they have.
What we need is the Diesel version,it will be a bigger hit ! Fuel prices are set to rise further and petrol is out of reach for the common man,let there be any govt.in India.
