The twin spark in Thunderbird 2009 is the same the old Thunderbird model . Change can be seen on the engine . The new Thunderbird uses 350 CC engine with two spark plugs . Gear box and clutch assembly were moved inside engine crank case . So here you don’t need separate engine oil to be put on gear box . Also the oil level can be checked through the glass windows of crank case . New Thunderbird 2009 engine come with hydraulically controlled tappets .
More performance ,millege and emission are the outcomes of new Thunderbird engine . This engine delivers 20 bhp at a maximum torque 28 NM with 10 % power upgrade . Chain and brakes in new Royal Enfield Thunderbird had seen a position shift to right side . This design improved the braking and starting trouble in old Thunderbird models . The new 19 inch uses gas shock absorbers on the back side . Dual dial instrument panel has odometer ,speedometer ,trip ,tachometer and fuel gauges .

The new Royal Enfield Thunderbird cruiser offers wide seating positions and extra large handles made for comfort and relaxed long journey .There is a disc brake on front and drum on back side . Expected on road millege of Thunderbird 2009 with twin Spark is around 45-48 kmpl .

I think guys, its time we stopped metioning that Royal Enfields are “very prone to leaking oil”.
This was a fact of the past. Take a view from the new bike owners and they will tell you its not true.
My bike has done 33000 kms without leaking any oil. And I usually ride it near its upper limits.

Yup new bikes are less prone to oil leak . But its never comparable to 100-150 cc bike . The new Enfield Thunderbird 2009 as per features has the gear box moved inside .So what we mentioned that its a feature in Thunderbird that counter oil leaks .
