In a sublime revelation today at Delhi, Toyota has taken off the sales of the most anticipated Etios Liva small car at a price starting from just 4 L. The Etios Liva is the hatchback version of the Etios Sedan that is already in India from last year. Toyota had curtailed the production of their car models due to devastating earth quake in Japan. Now it appears that they have recovered from all setbacks, and the Etios Liva will be available for delivery from today onwards.

Finally, Honda has reduced the price of their most selling car in India, the Honda City. The current design of the Honda city is there from 2008. Later they made some changes and induced new variants in 2009 and 2010. Until now the parts of Honda City were exported from abroad. Honda has been working on localization of the car manufacturing process, and it seems that they are successful in bringing the cost to a reasonable level.

Their first car Maruti 800 was launched in 1983, and subsequently they launched Omni in 1984 and Gypsy in 1985. Maruti Suzuki now manufactures around 12 cars for India and some of them are exported to foreign countries. After 27 years in 2011-2012, the coalition is the largest car seller in India with a monthly sale around 1L cars. Maruti Suzuki mainly targets entry, medium and lower-luxury segments in which most of the Indian buyers are interested in.
