Maruti Suzuki, the leading car manufacturer in India, launched the new MARUTI SUZUKI SX4 with a new engine powered by VVT technology.This new engine meets the BS4 regulations which is expected to be applicable from April 2010.There are many new features added and the important one is the new 4-Speed automatic transmission.Again there is new sporty grille and dual tone interiors which all adds to the beauty of the new Suzuki SX4.New SX4 is totally an eco-friendly car and its new engine gives 15.6 km per litre mileage which is much better than the previous version.New Maruti SX4 has 10-spoke alloy wheel.

ENGINE
Maruti Suzuki SX4 has the new engine with VVT technology which was first introduced by Suzuki in its SUV Grand Vitara.The variable valve timing technology adjusts the timing of the intake valve and hence ensures the best power and enhanced engine efficiency.the amount of carbon emission in Maruti Suzuki SX4 is very less hence making it environment friendly.The new 4 cylinder,1.6 Litre petrol engine of Maruti SX4 produces a maximum power of 104.68 ps @5600 rpm and a high torque of 145Nm @ 4100 rpm.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The 4-Speed automatic transmission is very helpful in city drives.The driver can choose his driving mode with a smooth down shift or up shift.The computer controlled sensors constantly manages the requirements and optimizes the engine for a better performance and hence no power lag will be felt.An electronic display is arranged in the instrument cluster which indicates the engaged gear.Also,the Maruti Suzuki SX4 has manual transmission option.
