The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG eDrive is an electrified all-wheel-drive version .Mercedes calls it “ the exciting future of the super sports car.”.The SLS eDrive is supposed to launch on 2015. “Every component is either unique or heavily modified from standard and has been chosen with a great deal of care and consideration,” says development boss Tobias Moers.The electric super car will feature the same lightweight aluminum body and signature gull-wing doors as the gasoline powered SLS AMG.

FEATURES
The Mercedes Benz SLS e Drive will use a heavily modified version of the standard SLS’s rear wheel drive platform .This is done to accommodate the two small black boxes called power electronic boxes as shown in the diagram.These are a pair of motors in front along with its gearbox and controllers.Another pair of motors controllers and gear box are out rear end.
PERFORMANCE
Each wheel of the SLS e Drive is run by a 98 Kilowatt ( 133 horsepower ) motor.These make the Mercedes SLS e Drive into a four-wheel-drive vehicle
The four motors make a stunning 392 Kilowatts ( 532 horsepower ) and a 649 pound-feet of torque.For the e Drive version is rumored 0-62 mph in less than four seconds and a top speed of 120 mph
The car is very fluid in its actions.The steering is light but it makes you to push hard through the corners.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
The Mercedes-Benz SLS’s light weight aluminum body is supported by a super stiff , aluminum super-frame.The battery is placed at the space of the standard SLS’s torque tube and more battery can be added in the space of the fuel tank.
The electronic controllers equipped in the system assure dynamically optimized power transmission by means of torque vectoring and is sent to each wheel.
The battery is liquid cooled and its likely to be provided by Mercedes-Benz’s corporate parent Daimler.The battery is rated at 48 Kilowatt-hours with a capacity of 40 ampere-hours.The car is also having regenerative braking.
