Ritz is a swizz hotel network famous for their heritage ,luxuriant infrastructure and extravagance . Maruthi Suzuki Ritz ,the new small segment car from Maruthi has everything for having this name .Ritz aims at youth and professionals who are looking for an affordable ,sporty and casual vehicle for daily use. Ritz is also known as splash in European and other world markets . Here we expected splash as a replacement for Maruti Suzuki wagon R . But now Maruti renamed splash to Ritz and launched in Indian market without touching other models . Ritz shares the platform with Maruti Suzuki Swift . So we can assume the interior facilities and space inside this vehicle . Exactly its little bigger than Swift in internal space . Interior is finished just like that of a high end compact car . It can even considered to be a combination of a European hatch back and an Indian sedan . Dash controls ,seats ,leg room etc. all remembers a sedan . Ritz is one of the first Indian car to follow BS 4 standard with its second K series engine KB12 .
Maruthi Ritz Design :
External design of Maruthi Ritz is a combination of Swift and Astar . But we can the differences on a close analysis .From front side it looks just like swift and remembers Astar on back .But the side view is totally different , and it cannot be seen on any other vehicle in India . External emotional and functional , internal youthful and joyful .Black and Blue interior color coding of Ritz is yet another example of this . Suzuki V identity design make v shaped on looking from back side . This along with fender and parts makes the car sporty .Other interior specifications includes instrument panel in front of drive , console mounted gear m , tachometer just like in Astar and above all the blue and black painted dash. There is Grey variant fro those who don’t like blue . Leather belted steering includes audio controls . ABS and EDD are available in higher diesel models . Alloy wheel is not available for diesel model .
Maruthi Ritz Driving:
Maruthi Ritz performed well in our test drive to be the best car for city and rural drivability .There are two options for engines . New k series engine from Maruthi, K12 M is aggressive in performance and smooth in driving .This engine achieved Bharath stage 4 pollution control too . Soon all Maruthi vehicle with old 1.3 engine will be replaced by K 12 M . This 1197 CC 4 cylinder aluminum engine outputs 85 Bhp at 4000 RPM and 113 NM torque . Diesel model of Ritz uses the same engine in Maruthi Swift and Maruthi Dzire ,Indica Vista and Fiat Palio . For sure the diesel engine in Ritz is better than above models .
Back seat journey is excellent and smooth without much jerking .dashboard fixed Gear leaver just like in 1io makes it easy to change gears while on travel . Diesel engine of Ritz seems to better in control.

ritz is a very cool car..i just bought VDi model.its pick up and power combo is awsome.it has got ample space for a small family.running cost of diesel is also very low.my advice to all you planning to buy this car is that buy diesel version only
Maruti Ritz has got good value for money features. It has ABS, EBD, good interior space like leg room and head room. It has also got great looks at the exterior. There is no engine noise coming into the cabin even at higher speeds and the plastics used inside the car are very durable. Ritz has good suspension and nice ground clearance. The braking in Ritz is superb and behaves exactly as expected.
I had bought this ritz vdi in dec 09..u’ll not believe this is an amazing car.i had taken it such a muddy terrain where people say only jeeps and SUV’S can run….but this car was exceptionally good in such a terrain..it came out easily..this is a gud car…must buy
Ritz has wise interiors with good leg room and plenty of head room. Since Ritz is narrower, it has got the advantage of parking in narrow space! Chevy Beat is only style car, but it has no practical features. Ritz has good practical features!! and mileage is a great 18 kmpl while Beat gives only 12 kmpl

we got a ritz zxi model , the car is very good .
but coming to the mileage it is very horrible. it is been said that it is going to give 16 in city , but our car is not even giving 10 kmpl .
and they are not even ready to take the complaint regarding this …..
