So Hyundai has launched the new Verna 2011-2012 model in India after a viral campaign that ran though TV and newspapers. We had a look at the Verna 2011 at MGF Hyundai showroom in Kerala, and now we just have one word to define this beauty, awesome. The new Hyundai Verna has an ergonomics and external style that could outshine Honda City, Maruti SX4 and VW Vento and other cars in its segment. Not only the appearance that it makes it special but the internal features and price range in which it is placed.

Verna RB 2011-2011 model follows the Hyundai fluidic design concept that is already being employed in i20, i10 and other recent releases. It has an aerodynamic design with eye catching curves all over the body. The car is big, really big and spacious. Interiors are well designed and cozy. Some of the interior features of the new Verana include six air bags, inbuilt reverse sensor and parking assistant, leather seats, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless button starting, climatronic AC with ionizer, steering mounted audio controls, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, etc. The model we test drove was a Verna 1.4 lire petrol but there is a 1.4L diesel, 1.6L diesel and petrol models available for purchase. Automatic option comes in the 1.6 variant. Top diesel model of Verna produces a power of 126 bhp which is obviously more than the competitors in the same segment. This car has got impressive mileage figures too. The 1.4 diesel model on-test stands around of 23 kmpl, and the worst is for Hyundai Verna 1.6 AT, up-to 15.5 kmpl.
You may argue that Honda and Toyota cars have a class of quality that is being cherished from times. But the way Hyundai is developing hints that it’s tough time ahead for the status brands.
