Fiat Bravo 2010 India Price and Specifications

Fiat introduced their new small family car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007. It is named as Bravo. Fiat style centre is behind the design of the new Fiat Bravo. Magna Steyr, the Austrian automotive company is behind the engineering of the car’s body and fittings. No other hatchback will be more expensive that Bravo once it is launched in India. Fiat Bravo 2010 is truly a world class product. Fiat will be concentrating on creating a strong brand image rather than generating big sales.  This year was almost a successful year for Fiat in India.  They regained their market share with the successful launch of Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea. Though Fiat Bravo 2010 is intended for a special class of people, it would strengthen the portfolio of Fiat India.

The design of Bravo 2010 was finished to a very tight schedule. A lot of CAD engineering as well as computer simulations were involved in the design. Fiat India will import Bravo as Completely Built-up Units from Italy. Due to the high tax structure, price would be higher. Bravo will be sold in limited numbers like Fiat 500. Fiat Bravo 2010 can run at a top speed of 190kmph in the array of B+ segment cars. Fuel consumption is about 11kmpl during city driving conditions. On highway driving it will be 14kmpl. There are six manual gears. It has power steering. Front tyre is disk type and rear tyres are drum type. The fuel tank can store a maximum of 58 litres. The 58 litre fuel tank makes the vehicle suitable for long drives. Bumpers having the same colour of the body and alloy wheels add to the beauty of exterior. The car is also equipped with a tachometer and a trip meter. The car is equipped with climate controlled AC. Power windows and central remote locking is incorporated. It also has remote fuel filler and rear wiper. Rear defogger and folding rear seats are other utilities. All these add to the comfort and convenience of the customer. Fiat Bravo 2010 is provided with airbags, ABS ,fog lamps, and front and rear seat belts. This is for the safety of the passenger. Fiat Bravo is a more complete economical car than the Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion on the roads. Fiat has achieved considerable success with the Bravo. Beauty, safety and performance are the three words describing the new Fiat Bravo.

The unique personality of Fiat Bravo is evident from the very look that anyone have at its front end. The raised area that extends all the way from the mirror holds the beautifully designed headlights on both sides. The bumper runs through the middle of the grille that acts as ventilation for the engine room. Upper division of the grille carries the logo of Fiat. Registration number can be displayed just below the logo. Two fog lamps find its position on both sides below the mighty head lights. Design of the front end is aggressive and gives protection to the pedestrian at the same time. The bonnet of Fiat Bravo 2010 is made flat and the bumper structure is tapered to reduce the area involved when it comes to collision. Bravo has an aerodynamic design with smooth lines running from front to rear side. As a whole the exterior gives us a sporty look.
Fiat Bravo 2010 Interiors and Comfort:
Interior of Fiat Bravo is spacious. There is lot of headroom throughout the cabin. But on comparing with other cars in its segment we can say that the leg space at the back seat is a bit tight. You can store more things in the generous luggage space. The depth of the boot gives the storage space even though you may have to lift your luggage a bit to take it out. The driver’s seat height can be adjusted to suite your needs. Also the steering wheel can be adjusted. You will feel more comfort and chillness with the climate control AC that Bravo has. The window glass can easily be lifted up and down with the power window feature. The remote centre locking feature in Fiat Bravo 2010 allows you to lock your car from a remote location. This feature allows you to unlock the car even without touching the door. Rear wiper and defogger help you with improved rear visibility. You can enjoy music with the company provided CD player. Rear seats can be folded to occupy more luggages, if needed. Driver seat adjustment is manual.
Fiat Bravo 2010 Ride and Handling:
Riding comfort of Bravo is too good. The steering gives a feeling of complete control and road holding. Like all other cars of Fiat we can drive the car smoothly. Control switches are arranged in the steering itself. This makes the task of driving more comfortable. And talking about the suspension, its suspension struggles to deal with unevenness on the road surface. Thus making the ride jittery. The notable thing that you feel while riding the car is its quietness. Quietness of the car is expressed in terms of articulation index. Fiat Bravo 2010 has got an articulation index of about 66% at a speed of 120Km/hr. This is good. Road noise is suppressed to a great extend, even though there is some wind noise. Engine noise fades into the background. As compared to the segment C, some changes were made in this new segment. Tracks are widened by 20mm. Tyres used in this model are large. Geometry of the suspension is modified to get more comfort. In order to increase the stability on corners dampers are used. Anchorage that keeps the front suspension in place has got improved rigidity. This will give good handling and control while driving.
Fiat Bravo 2010 Safety:
All cars should pass some sort of tests to ensure the safety of the passengers and also people walking along the road. Fiat Bravo has about seven safety equipments. These equipments include seat belt pretensioners and load limiters. There are two airbags for the driver and the fellow passenger sitting in the front seat. But no airbags are provided for protecting the knees of the people sitting in the front seat. For protecting the body and head air bags are provided in the sides. Fiat always gives importance to the protection of children. Fiat Bravo 2010
has got ISOFIX in the back seat. This is for the safety of children. Fiat Bravo passed the crash test named as Euro NCAP in 2007. 1.9 Multijet 5 door hatchback model of Fiat Bravo was used for the crash test. The model used for the test had a Kerb weight of 1300kg. For the adult occupant protection the car scored 33 points with five stars. Child occupant protection scored 36 points with 3 stars. And pedestrian protection scored 16 points with 2 stars. Company has done a lot of things to reduce the injury caused by the dashboard during the time of a crash. Even then the steering column and the ignition section can cause some amount of injury to the driver. As far as side impact test is concerned Bravo was not able to score maximum points for chest protection. On the other hand the car passed the pole test with maximum points. But the ISOFIX in the back seat is not marked clearly. Fog lamps are provided for the smooth driving in uncomfortable weather conditions. Breaking system of all Fiat cars is good. Similar is the case with Bravo. The car has a length of 4020mm. It is 1750mm wide and 1420mm high. Wheel base of Bravo is 2540mm.
Fiat Bravo 2010 Reliability:

Fiat is working hard to improve the reliability of their cars. Engines produced by fiat have been fairly robust. Problems in the past were faults with electrics or build standards. Fiat recently launched Linea and Punto. People accepted those cars with great deal of satisfaction. Those cars have done wonders for Fiat. It is expected that no mistakes would be made by the company this time. Fiat is trying to improve on its past reputation. In India, they are revamping total dealer network. Tata Motors are the authorised dealers to sell Fiat cars in India.
Fiat Bravo 2010 Price and launch date in India:
Fiat Bravo 2010 will drive into Indian market by mid of 2010. As you can infer from the above facts it will be the most expensive hatchback in the country. Price of Bravio is high due to the fact that it is importer as fully finished units from Italy. It is expected that the lovers of Bravo can own the majestic car for a price of 18 lakhs. Actually the expected price range is 18 – 25 lakhs.
