Bajaj is all set to release their new bike, Discover DTSi 100 cc on July 27th. Currently, Bajaj is not much focused on 100 cc market. The entry level motor cycle Platina is doing good business in 100 CC segment. However, there is no bike in mid range business class series where TVS Victor, Splendor, Passion Plus, etc. competes. Discover 100 cc will be powered by Bajaj’s revolutionary DTSi technology and will be with a new combustion engine. It will be the first 100 cc bike to include five speed transmission. The engine is expected to deliver 7.7 PS @ 7500 rpm. Currently, 100 cc is the most active bike segment in India in case of sales. So Bajaj had taken extreme care on the design, specification and price tag of Discover DTSi 100cc. The standard model of the vehicle will include alloy wheels, electric start auto chock, etc .
Bajaj Discover DTSi 100 CC
Included DTSi technology in Discover 100cc has improved the total performance and mileage of the bike. It is expected that it would provide 90 kmpl on standard conditions. This mileage is far better when compared with other 100cc motor bikes, which usually provides in the range of 60-65 kmpl. As per Sridhar, Bajaj Auto CEO for two-wheelers, Discover DTSi 100cc will upgrade the 100cc customer to the performance level of a 125cc bike. This machine is designed specially for business personals and others who travel more than 50-100 km per day.
Bajaj Discover DTSi 100 cc will be available on five colors Black Red, Black Green, Black Blue, Red and Blue. It will be priced in between Platina and Bajaj XCD 125, exactly around 43,000 (ex- showroom). Chakan plant of Bajaj will manufacture Discover 100cc DTS-i motorcycle and will be pushed into the market on early August.
Bajaj Discover 100 CC specifications: 94.38 CC, 7.7 bhp@7500 rpm, 7.8rpm@6500, 5 gears, 90 kmpl, Alloy Wheels and Disc brakes optional.

On-Road price: 46500/- approximately.

I have currently purchased new Bajaj Discover 100 CC ,I have found so many manufacturing & technical problem in Discover 100 CC ,for a example the quality of welding of structure is very-very POOR ,this is fault of Quality-Control,I am a Mechanical Engineer and I know about welding Quality.and also Color-Quality is very Bad,
In this my suggestion you apply Argon-Welding instead Arch welding, I hope you take necessary action as the same

When compared with other Indian brands, the design innovation and ready market availability that Bajaj ensured are quite appreciable and positions the company as leader in its domain. Bajaj has proven what it means by its old quote Hamara Bajaj. It’s history may project it other way but the recent decade changes indicate that it changed its intents on its products. Over lakhs of units produced, defects do exist among 1% or less but that does not mean that the product underperformed. The innovation and user experience truly refreshes its image always. By saying all this, I hope I wouldn’t be mistaken as a Bajaj fan but I insist that we encourage Indian made products that attempted to adopt an international standard and keep up to performance. I request that the buyers must not be lured with non-Indian brand’s false promises that drain our money.
I own a Pulsar 150 for more than 3 years as of today and a Chetak for more than 10 years. The maintenance is minimal compared to performance and mileage is excellent, I get 55 kpl average on Pulsar and 42 kpl average on Chetak. I am now exchanging my Chetak for Discover 100 as I know Discover gives 80+ kpl mileage and has a very sturdy look and style.
